A simple stay, with clear answers.
The Village Inn is a small beachfront property in Placencia—not a resort. Here is what to expect from the cabanas, location, booking process and changing beach conditions.
Frequently asked questions
The property
Where is The Village Inn?
It is in northern Placencia Village, Belize, directly on the beach. The Placencia Sidewalk and village centre are about a 14-minute walk away, and Placencia Airport is less than one mile from the property.
How many cabanas are there?
There are four furnished beachfront cabanas: Playa, Mar, Menoma and Cruz. It is a small, locally run property suited to travellers who prefer privacy, independence and a slower pace.
Is the beach directly outside?
Yes. The property opens directly onto the beach, with sand, palms and the Caribbean Sea just outside the cabanas.
Is there a pool or restaurant?
No. There is no pool, resort programme, bar or on-site restaurant. Each cabana has a kitchen, and restaurants and shops are available in Placencia Village.
Inside the cabanas
Do the cabanas have kitchens?
Yes. Every cabana includes a private kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, along with basic space for preparing your own meals.
Which cabanas have air-conditioning?
Menoma and Cruz are air-conditioned. Playa and Mar are cooled by fans and the sea breeze. If air-conditioning is essential for your stay, request Menoma or Cruz when checking availability.
What does every cabana include?
Each cabana has a private bathroom with a hot-and-cold shower, Wi-Fi, television, kitchen, hammock and direct beach access.
Is the property a luxury resort?
No. The cabanas are practical, spacious and built in a traditional Belizean style. Guests choose The Village Inn for its location, local character and independence rather than polished resort amenities.
Booking and payment
How do I confirm a reservation?
Send your dates, number of adults and children, preferred cabana and whether air-conditioning is essential. A request is not confirmed until availability is verified, the required deposit is processed and written confirmation is issued.
What deposit is required?
A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival. A three-night minimum stay is generally required.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please read the current Reservation Policy before paying. It explains cancellation timing, refunds, changes, no-shows and travel protection.
What time are check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 2:00 PM. Check-out is by 12:00 PM.
Planning your stay
How are the beach and sargassum conditions?
Beach conditions can change with weather, wind and currents. Sargassum can also vary by day and season. Ask Alvin for a current beach photo before you travel rather than relying on an older image.
Can you help with tours and transportation?
Yes. Alvin can help arrange transfers, tours and practical local planning for Placencia and other parts of Belize.
How can I ask a question directly?
Message Alvin on WhatsApp at +501 629-5953 or email [email protected].
Where can I compare the four cabanas?
Visit the Beachside Cabanas page for photos, cooling type and a side-by-side overview of Playa, Mar, Menoma and Cruz.
Still deciding?
Tell Alvin your dates and what matters most. He will check the four cabanas and reply with the available options.
