Placencia Location

Placencia, a 16-mile-long and approximately 1-mile-wide peninsula in the Southern District of Stann Creek, features some of the most stunning beaches in the region. The only drawback to Placencia’s location is its relative proximity to the Belize Barrier Reef, approximately 20 miles (32 km) or around 45 minutes by boat compared to the mere minutes it takes in San Pedro or Caye Caulker.
